18 women are trained in the centre of Don Bosco Nitika for a year as seamstresses. The sewing training takes place at different days a week, not daily. After a year of sewing training the women have to pass an exam. After passing the exam, each woman receives a sewing machine worth about 180 € from us. From time to time, a larger electric sewing machine which remains at the centre is purchased, it costs about € 300.

This is a possibility to give those women the chance to feed their own family and to escape from poverty. It is very important to support those projects. Women still don’t have such an important role in society. It is shocking, how women are treated who are abandoned by their husbands. They are rejected by society. A new start is like a dream. We must help them so that these women can realize their dream. Alone, they can’t make it.
